What is Motiv8?
Motiv8 is a programme to help people aged 25 and over in Greater Manchester to improve their lives and chances of getting back into work. It has been set up thanks to £9.7m of funding from the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund (2014-2020) as part of the Building Better Opportunities Programme. It provides personalised support to help people overcome barriers and to move towards training, job search and employment opportunities.
New Charter is leading the project, with support from other Manchester Athena housing providers at Stockport Homes, ForViva, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, Bolton at Home and a number of specialist partners such as LGBT Foundation, Shelter and HomeStart.
Since the project launched in January 2017 it has already received more 1,800 referrals.
