Motiv8 is shortlisted for a 24Housing Award!

Motiv8 is absolutely delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s 24Housing Awards in the Care and Support Provider of the year category.

Motiv8 has been set up thanks to £9.7m funding from the European Social Fund (2014-2020) and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund, to help people aged 25 plus overcome multiple barriers preventing them from engaging with training, job search and employment opportunities.

Since the programme went live in January 2017, Motiv8 has received more than 3,000 referrals from around Greater Manchester and achieved over 2,000 positive results and outcomes for their clients.

Over three years Motiv8 aims to support nearly 4,000 people to overcome multiple, complex needs and move them closer to training and work.

New Charter Homes, part of the newly formed Jigsaw Group is leading the Motiv8 programme with support from five other Manchester Athena housing providers – Stockport Homes, ForViva, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group and Bolton at Home. Manchester Athena is a partnership of 15 social landlords across Greater Manchester, which was formed to work together to deliver employment and health programmes across the region.

The programme is also supported by a range of specialist partners, including Home-start, Shelter, Migrants Support, Wai Yin Society, One Manchester, Challenge 4 Change and LGBT Foundation.

The 24housing Awards were founded in 2013 with the aim of celebrating the very best that the housing sector has to offer and the Awards have become a celebration, reflection and recognition of the UK housing sector and its professionals whose job it is to provide a vital resource to some of the most vulnerable people in the country.

The awards will take place in Coventry on Thursday, 18th October.
